The 18th Annual Region II Voluntary Protection Program Participant’s
    Association Conference will take place in June 7- 9, 2010 at the
    Atlantic City Trump Taj Majal Casino and Resort, New Jersey.

    The Conference Committee is currently working very hard to
    assemble another exciting 2 ½ day educational conference, featuring
    outstanding speakers from within Region II and across the country.
    The workshops will be divided into six tracks: OSHA/VPP, General
    Safety, Emergency Response, Hourly Employee, Heath, VPP Best
    Practices and Construction. These workshops will focus on the latest
    developments, trends and processes in occupational safety and
    health.

18th Annual Region II Chapter VPPPA Conference

    Our featured key note speaker will be Peter "Charlie Hustle"
    Rose. He was an amazing ball player that began his career in
    the 1963 season and was rewarded for his efforts that same
    season, named National League Rookie of the Year.  There
    after, he consistently batted over .300 and was an
    instrumental addition to the "Big Red Machine" that
    dominated the National League in the 1970's. In 1975 he was
    named the World Series most valuable player, Sports
    Illustrated Sportsman of the Year and The Sporting News Man
    of the Year. In 1978 Peter signed as a free agent with the
    Philadelphia Phillies bringing the team to the World Series in
    1980 and 1983. During the summer of 1984 Rose became again
    a Cincinnati Red, broke the all time major hit record set by Ty
    Cobb's mark of 4191 hits by one. Pete totaled an amazing 4256
    hits before his final career at bat. Additionally, between 1963
    to 1986 he won three World Series rings, three batting titles,
    two Gold Gloves and made 17 All-Star appearances at an
    unequaled five different positions.
